SOA is a dystopian universe, a reality in the metaverse that is a distorted mirror of our tangible world.
Crossing this line that divides the material from the non-material, will force us to observe ourselves without hypocrisy or facade do-goodery.
Only the braves will be able to open their eyes and look through the mirror, to cross the thin line between the worlds, very different from each other but yet so similar.
Because it requires a lot of courage to look at ourselves for what we really are: small, naked and unarmed.
BEYOND TRADITIONAL NARRATIVES OF WAR DISAPPROVAL
SOA children are a metaphor for exploring complex themes such as violence, power dynamics, and societal norms. Our aim is isn’t a literal depiction of war but rather a symbolic exploration of broader societal issues. The project wants to provoke thought and conversation by presenting familiar imagery in a thought-provoking context.
By juxtaposing innocence (represented by children) with the symbolism of military attire, the project challenges viewers to confront their preconceptions about violence and its manifestations in contemporary society.
